Friday, May 27 - Depart JFK 11.00 pm

Saturday, May 28
On arrival in Istanbul, transfer from Atatürk airport to our hotel and check-in.
Remainder of the day at leisure, explore Istanbul or take an optional bosphorus boat tour: View the Golden Horn and see Rumeli Fortress

Sunday, May 29
Today after breakfast enjoy a full day tour of Istanbul.
Dive into the heart of Istanbul City, including visits to St. Sophia, the great Byzantine basilica built in the 6th century, and the world-famous Blue Mosque.
Continue to the Roman Hippodrome, the ancient site of chariot races and competitive athletic events, before a final stop to visit the renowned Grand Bazaar, the world's largest covered market, featuring over 58 streets and more than 4000 shops.
This afternoon visit to the Topkapi Palace, the former residence of the Ottoman Sultans. Visit the Treasury Rooms which house 700 years worth of priceless Endurun Treasure, making for the largest national trove in the world.
Continue to visit the famous Mosque of Süleyman the Magnificent, built in the 16th century, and regarded today as one of the greatest buildings in the world.
Upon return to your hotel, enjoy a relaxing drive along the Golden Horn and view the ancient Roman fortification walls en route.

CAPPADOCIA
Cappadocia is the region where the nature and history come together with some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. This is an area best known for its unique moon-like landscapes as at Göreme, underground cities such as Kaymakli, cave churches, the monasteries at Zelve, of homes carved into the rocks.

After breakfast, transfer to airport and catch our flight to Kayseri/ Nevşehir**1

After Hotel check-in and lunch; ½ DAY Tour: Devrent Valley, followed by a visit to the Zelve Open Air Museum; Monk’s Valley; Göreme Open Air Museum featuring the most impressive of all rock-carved churches in Cappadocia.

Tuesday, May 31
After breakfast, Full Day Tour: The day starts at Red Valley for a hike through orchards and vineyards between fairy chimneys and rock-carved houses. Continue the walk in rose Valley. Afterwards, visit the old Christian village of Çavuşin. Following a lunch break, visit Pigeon Valley; Kaymaklı Underground City, Ortahisar Castle and Mustafapaşa Village.

Pamukkale has always been a popular SPA site where the hot springs were believed to have healing powers, while the city Hierapolis grew above the cascades and became the center of pagan cults and then early Christianity in antiquity.

Today after breakfast, CLASSICAL EPHESUS Tour

Magnificent, inspiring, gorgeous, amazing, extraordinary... These are only a few of the words that may describe Ephesus. However no one could adequately describe Ephesus with words alone; one has to see Ephesus to appreciate it. A visit to Ephesus, one of the largest and best-preserved ancient cities in the world, a vast open-air museum, is a must for those who are interested in archaeology and culture. The many other sites around Ephesus cannot be forgotten, so we satisfy those with specialist interests and extend our tour to include all.

tour of Bodrum: The resort town sits on the foundations of ancient, mighty Halikarnassos. In a morning discover the historical highlights of the town. Bodrum's Castle of St. Peter is a must-see in Bodrum, and many visitors are surprised to find it houses such a special Museum of Underwater Archaeology in the heart of a small town. As you walk around the castle, there are also wonderful opportunities to take pictures of Bodrum and the bays. Just a 15 minute walk from the castle along the harbour, are the ruins of the once magnificent Mausoleum, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The ancient walls, and the Myndos Gate, and the Ancient Theater complete the picture of ancient life.

If you cancel more than 60 days before the date of travel, you would receive a refund minus $200
If you cancel less than 60 days before the date of travel, you would receive 75% refund
If you cancel less than 45 days before the date of travel, you would receive 50% refund
If you cancel less than 30 days before the date of travel, you would receive 25% refund
If you cancel less than 15 days before the date of travel, there won't be a refund possible unless we find replacement for you !

F A Q:

1. What is the total trip cost - it states TBA on the Eventbrite site? What is not included?
>> Price starts at $1995 if you book by next week - if you want to fly domestically; not drive, will cost your $150 extra per flight...
>> Optional activities, your own dinners, and drinks, of course, are not included

2. What is the composition of attendees - a diverse range in ages, physical abilities, backgrounds, etc?
>> backgrounds ? I'm sorry, we don't check...   but I expect most of them to be well traveled...
>> age range: 25 to 45 - the core is in their 30's - professionals from Tri-State and beyond...

3. Is there the option to stay an extra day or two in Istanbul prior to or after?
>> after, we can change your return date/ flight

4. Is the only flight included from JFK? I live in Toronto so am trying to figure out the best options (i..e fly out of Toronto to Istanbul, fly to JFK to meet rest of group, etc).
>> flight is included only from JFK - I would recommend you fly to meet us the go from here...

5. How does accommodation work? Double share? Same gender?
>> 2 per room/ same gender: unless requested otherwise.

6. I may want to take a hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia. Would this fit in with our schedule? Do you recommend booking from here or upon arrival?
